This is a very well run park. Laundry room is great. Park is a bit pricey but fair for the area. Fairly easy access to lots of shopping and great if you are getting repairs done: Beaudry and La Mesa RV dealerships right next door. Camping World within walking distance. Verizon data access was great so we didn't use Wi-Fi here. There is a very good Mexican restaurant in west Tucson: Karichimaka. Very good food at a reasonable price. Lots of tourist stuff in the area: Sonora Desert Museum, Kitt Peak National Observatory, Mission San Xavier Del Bac to mention a few. Only complaint: landscaping is a bit spare. However, park is very clean and orderly. All services work very well.

This campground used to be the the American RV & Marine Resort & Rally Campground. It is now just American RV Park. It is no longer associated with Camping World, although it remains behind the Camping World facility in Anthony, TX. The owner is trying to upgrade the service here. WiFi has been added. It is TengoNet and it works well. They have provided plenty of antennas so reception is very good and fast. This is the first time I have used TengoNet for free and was impressed. Currently, only the lower campground is open. This is a very large facility and could accommodate a very large number of RVs. I'm not even sure how many. The hook-ups are modern, spaces are very wide and long. There are no toilet or shower facilities. The on-site camp host told us the owner is working on providing a building with bathroom facilities, laundry, etc. It is unknown when that will be done. Although the hook-ups are excellent, this campground has all the ambiance of a truck stop. There is virtually no landscaping. The view of the mountains is quite dramatic, however. We used both a Verizon and AT&T data card and got good service. Verizon cell phone worked very well.

This is a very nice, attractive park. We were there in October and the trees were lovely with their changing colors. Our satellite TV was able to be tuned in with some effort. WiFi was free but we had trouble connecting when facing away from the office. Verizon EVDO was very strong, however. The lady in the office was very friendly and helpful. Nice little store as well. They had some frozen foods for sale which was nice since we were far from a restaurant.

We stayed at this park 2 years ago, and for a RV park associated with a gas station, it wasn't too bad. However, this trip we were disappointed. The sites were difficult to get into because picnic tables had been left out in spaces. Electricity did not work at one site. The overall sense was one of less attention to maintenance. While the spaces are mostly pull th roughs, many are not very long. On the plus side, sites are level, and some have full hookups, meaning sewer there too. Not all spaces have sewer. The park was fairly quiet and walled off from the gas station and associated motel. There is a small restaurant on the site too. We ate there two years ago and found the food disappointing, so did not eat there this time. A good place to stop if you're on the I10 and just want to stop for the night, but not scenic and a little shabby.
